Widows Conference May 2008

Hundred of widows gathered in Kampala for the annual conference run by Widows Intercessors Ministry. Some came over 200 miles from Lira, North Uganda. It was a time of much celebration and blessing. They slept on foam mattresses on the floor of a school.

Chris Reading and Fran Handrick were delegates from the UK. One speaker Mrs Segamesti travelled from Botswana and Pastor Grace Ndungu came from Kenya.

Widows Intercessors Ministry had their first day conference on their land at Mukono in February. Over 100 women attended and many children and orphans. It was a day of great joy and happiness with gifts of food distributed. Six widows gave their lives to the Lord.

Reaching The Unreached And Telling The Untold

When we read this Motto of the ministry Evangelist RG in India we were very moved and excited at the work the Lord is doing in this great continent of India. We wanted to partner with them in some way so as well as praying for them Open Door Missions International has sent some money to India to help Evangelist RG India meet some of the needs in his ministry. Bibles, school clothes, and some rice were bought and distributed to the poor and disadvantaged people in some villages.
