Widow's often suffer rejection, poverty, and hopelessness in Africa. The very oldest ones are left to die alone, some discarded in the bush. Recently a widow over 100 years old was raped in her mud hut. These people are very vulnerable. We want to gather them and put them in a home for the elderly on the land. The younger widows will be taught to care for them. Everyone involved will have a sense of worth and dignity.

Rev. Ruth wants to train these old widows to become intercessors for the nations. They are the "mothers" of Africa. They can pray for the families of the nations. God answers widows' prayers speedily because they are so close to His heart. These women will spend their last days cared for, but greatly needed in the Kingdom of God.
